In February of 1991, the wife of a coworker suggested to Lisa that she should learn to quilt. Being a quilter herself, the coworker's wife introduced Lisa to quilting and shared her love for the art. The two of them were purests and therefore did everything by hand. Lisa continued to only quilt by hand until 1997 when she made two quilts for the twin beds of her two young children. Today, Lisa specializes in design quilts and loves a challenge to test her quilting abilities.
Weystone [way-stone] (noun).
1. A place you always come
back to.
2. Home
Lisa and her husband Dann built their house in the late 1980’s. When it was
completed they searched for something to name the house. Dann suggested
‘Weystone.’ He told Lisa that it meant a place you always come back to.
Although they never formally named the house Lisa always loved the word
and what it meant. Years later Lisa attempted to search for the word
Weystone. She couldn’t find the word Weystone anywhere, let alone a
definition for it. So here we define it for all who find themselves on our site
and hope that Weystone Designs is a place you always come back to.
